...this was by far your best piece to date!
-
Thanks for the SA update. I know the potential is enormous!! I have taken a significant position in this stock - almost 1M dollars at today's prices. Hope what you postulate becomes reality! Thanks
-
Just wanted to say that this is one of your best write-ups.......mind you they are all good! A very well laid out and convincing statement of what we longs have been through thick & thin waiting for what lies ahead.........the potential is enormous. Even the worse case scenario gives us a very good return on our $$ from these prices so it’s a no brainer. Looking forward to drilling results! The sooner the better! Anyone in their right mind can see the potential in SA with this! Well done!
-
Nicely done and certainly paints a great picture.
-
What a great piece! Also a very detailed, interesting exercise. History will indeed have the final say, but facts are facts........and the facts about our little SA are very encouraging. Hopefully in a year or so we'll look back and not care anymore that we had to wait five years for this to blossom. Life changing events are worth the wait.... This is great work, Kevin. Thank you so much for your time, knowledge and your willingness to share with others.
-
Good post Kevin. May I post it on my favorite board which has many East Asia investors?
-
An excellent, and factually correct article. Well done, keep up the good work.
-
“… the agonizing four-year wait for this IUP has seen these three prospects live up to their acronym.” LOL! Good article!
-
Kevin, Just a note to say that you did a really excellent job on the article you sent me the link to. I see that you received a lot of feedback on it. Well done indeed. Mackie won't be able to touch that.
-
big thanks for all you do for us quiet holders, must admit recent price drop was a botheration to my nervous system, now ask myself why I didn't step up and add, ah hindsight, at least still have all shares from 3yrs +....bright sun upon you Kevin.
-
Another great post. Thanks so much. Keep them coming.
-
Wow-with much respect from a 76yr.old curmudgeon - just outstanding! I have never before seen such depth of DD by a non-professional, and all freely shared with others. Since 1999, I have had three real homerun stocks; Ultra pet.,(upl),peyto resources, (T.pey), and silvercorp (t.svm). I believe Southern Arc will top them all and thanks to you I will be here when the cows come home. THANK YOU!
-
Kevin, excellent article! Nice to see, through a crack in your usual hyper-conservative perspective, a glimpse of blue sky potential. I share your optimism.
-
Kevin, the movie "Beautiful Mind" could also refer to your amazing brain which produces such a high level of creative thinking and rational thought. Combined with your gifted writing skills, your delivery reads like a page flipping thriller. It is just such a shame that we, the readers, have to wait several weeks for each new page. While the real John Nash did indeed suffer from schizophrenia (while you have ironically been called delusional by some) his counter balance of brilliance eventually won him the Nobel Prize. Now maybe I have over expressed my extreme gratitude for your work but "IF" your speculating hypothesis is even partially correct there certainly would be no further need for PMS medication and you, my friend will have achieved your very own personal Nobel Prize! Seriously Kevin, thank you for allowing others to read your work. Southern Arc and anyone associated with this company is lucky to have you aboard. [Ed. I think he means I should be institutionalized???]
-
Kevin, Excellent presentation of the facts as we know them to date. You have described the potential upside. Now the drills have to work from the other end and confirm what is physically present. It will be interesting to see where dream and reality meet. You say the IFs will fall away one by one. According to Garwin, West Lombok is a textbook case in geology. Geology has its surprises. The mother lode maybe a kilometer from where they think it is. therefore they will have to adjust their thinking(drilling) as the results come in. As long as they stay focused on west Lombok I will be happy with the final result.
-
As always, I love to read research where someone takes the time to connect the dots in advance. It's how I make fortunes in small cap stocks myself, connecting the dots before the crowd... great work.
-
Well done Kevin.
-
Nice article Kevin! I like it because you have a nice mix of information for both geos and the geologically illiterate to digest. I have a few family members that are new shareholders, in from the low 1.50's. Exciting times for the company. Are you planning any field trips over there anytime soon? I need a vacation!
-
I read it all very carefully, and appreciate your cautions and qualifications. It proves you're more honest than most! At my age [68], and having overseen a lot of this kind of mining activity, I know this is very likely to have a huge payoff for those who can wait the next several years out in their level of comfort. I've made good money with SA over the years since Bob introduced it at 321gold.com, and was a holder until last week, when I took profits. I WILL be a buyer again, but after the Summer doldrums, say late August. Of course, if spectacular drill results come in before then, all bets are off and SA is on, big time! I wish you all the best, and look forward to your great success.
-
Once again outstanding article. Love the way you put words together! You always lift the spirits of us laypeople concerning SA. Once again thank you for your due diligence. If my house sells this summer, guess what I'll be doing with some of that money!
-
Univ of Texas grad here- geology and petroleum engineer - I won't say what year- love your work
-
Another great essay Kevin. Great title; if A=B etc. Sounds a bit like the old law of cosines. Should your ifs become proven fact, I will look forward to meeting you at a major big celebration dinner.
-
I always look forward to reading your perspective view of Southern Arc. Thank you Kevin.
-
Another excellent read! Hope our dreams come true. We'll see soon enough.
-
Come on, don't be embarrassed to make a prediction, 200, 300, 400$ a pop maybe? Don't let that xxx character have all the fun.
-
Thank you Kevin for another great article. You have a real gift for explaining SA's potential.
On ‘Sunday Afternoon’
-
This is a solid piece, I love it. This is about to leave my hands very shortly to whoever will listen. This throws it all on the table and that is where we need it.
-
You continue to outdo yourself my friend...excellent piece!
-
Excellent write up. They have the necessary ingredients to make a persuasive and convincing presentation to additional investors. In short, they now have a story to tell from a position of strength, for sure. With over 30 presentations, for sure they are telling it. I believe they have gas and a match in hand now. So we wait to see if anything ignites. New investors taking a material position will be the real measure.
-
Loved the intro - body of your write-up was excellent as well.... but I REALLY loved your intro !!
-
Excellent! An excellent summary Kevin! A very easy to understand assessment of what SA is currently doing. Thanks much for taking the time to meet with them and publish this report on your site. Have been buying more shares lately. I'm about to burst with excitement.
-
Just a priceless report, Kevin!!! Thank you is not adequate, however, I do THANK YOU.
-
Really great piece.
-
I just want to thank you for your tireless efforts regarding SA. It is because of your efforts and your kindness to share your results on SA, that I am still here, 3 1/2 years later. Your information always keeps me going. I believe one of these days SA's share price is going to be a very life changing event for a lot of SA shareholders. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...
-
Thanks Kevin, good timing. I needed a boost of confidence.
-
Great report! Kevin. I have followed your postings on the SA.V board and am grateful for your clear and honest approach to issues. Would appreciate your continued input. I find it very valuable and helpful. Thanks and best regards.
- Jaw dropping interview Kevin. I am also drooling at the thought of all those anomalies across West Lombok. The added photos are a nice touch. Thanks again as always for keeping all of us so well informed. [followed shortly thereafter by]
Kevin, with all due respect to your opinion, but I DO think it is jaw dropping when I read comments such as;
you should not throw away the envelope for your estimates for Selodong 'potential' for 540 million tonnes of ore.
there are 29,000 planned meters of drilling on Lombok in the next year with up to 4-6 rigs.
all we get is a mere smile from John when he is asked about the funding for $16,000,000 worth of drilling
one of our JV partners have already started work (who just happens to be Vale)
the footprint comparisons for Grasberg compared to the targets between Pelangan and Mencanggah. Just one of these targets marks a surface footprint of more than 4 km by 2.5 km.
Sorry, but my jaw dropped so much I bought another 10,000 shares at 1.90 this morning (including 2000 @1.89) and I feel very good about that!
-
Nice article, Kevin. I am sure many will appreciate putting the faces with the names. Very exciting times we are in now. Thanks for the share. Let's get those drills turning! Love the last picture of Mike. Good read.
-
Well Done. Thanks again for the updates.
-
Thanks Kevin. Your efforts are truly appreciated.
-
Awesome report! Everything is looking great. This stock is heading much higher. I've always had big expectations for this company and it is looking terrific. I feel like it is an unknown undervalued stock that is going to get found this year.
-
Thanks Kevin, more good info & food for thought.
-
Excellent write up Kevin! I am looking forward to the weeks ahead and in particular PDAC!
-
I really enjoyed your synopsis of the meeting with SA management on Sunday afternoon. I especially enjoyed the back of the envelope estimates. I am looking forward to the outcome of meetings with 30 to 50 investment firms in the next couple of weeks. It is also very encouraging that we have extra drills arriving on site.
-
Thanks Kevin for the update. All sounds good. Time to buy more?
-
Well done, Kevin. Should get some attention.
-
Wonderful write up Kevin. I'm jealous of your time with "the boys". Looks like you had some fun too.
-
Very grateful that you took the initiative and time from your busy schedule in going to see JP, Mike and Hamish! We (the longs) appreciate the work you do as it helps us remain updated with what the company is doing.
- A very pleasant Sunday afternoon indeed. Thank you so much for sharing this information, Kevin. I also enjoyed the pictures, finally being able to put faces to the names.
Gambling on the ability to trust John and his company over the years, I averaged down many times
and it is certainly paying dividends now. When I think about the true possibilities of SA, it seems surreal. As my wife says " opportunities like this don't happen to average people like us."Learning to trust your honest posts through the years, hence trusting Proust and his staff, gave me the ability to invest in an area in which I was very uncertain. It has already proven to be a very wise choice.
I can't help but dream of the day that I'm docked at Ontario Place on my 40 footer in July and this stranger walks up and says " Southern Arc, eh? Nice name for a boat. Hi, I'm Kevin Graham...." That would be the perfect ending to my SA story.
Thanks Kevin, for all you do..........
On ‘Relationships’
-
Good article! I tell you, the more I learn, the more I realize that exploration company success all comes down to people and properties more than any other factors.
-
I read your article and as always it is an excellent piece (as I have come to expect). I particularly liked your thoughts regarding the suspected backroom shenanigans. I have to admit, it has always been a bit of a nagging concern of mine. Just from reading some of the Indonesian articles translated to English I have noted the occasional statement that has caused me to wonder if/what games were being played in the background. That said, it has always been difficult to be certain that I catch the meaning behind specific statements as the translator sometimes changes the context of sentences. Regardless, hopefully it will all be irrelevant soon enough. It will be nice to finally have the IUP behind us…and a Forestry permit or two wouldn’t hurt either…
-
Thanks for keeping me up to date Kevin. I believe in you! Happy Holidays.
-
Well done.
-
Thanks…and thanks for reaching out and staying in contact. You’ve added positively to my life in doing so.
-
Kevin - thanks for a terrific assessment/update - much appreciated. I agree with the premise that the NR (also could be said to be Not Required) was to placate current investors pending the WL IUP. JP did set some expectations with the last and this update, which is a bit unusual for him. I hope to see the IUP NR on Monday followed by the long-awaited drill results by say Wednesday. That represents my expectations from the NR. So, is this week the last chance to buy SA at under $2.00?? If the drill results are great, that is also my expectation.
-
RELATIONSHIPS Once again, outstanding article. Thank you Kevin.
-
True to the word.
-speaks to the relationships with shareholders and loyalty.
-speaks to the relationships with local stakeholders, supportive and combative.
-I like how you threw in the reference to games in the market.
"No matter what the offer, the first thing every one of us is going to do is to turn to John Proust and say, “Well, John, what do you think?”"
SA has successfully nurtured the relationships with his stakeholders over the past years and no doubt this will return dividends to John if times comes to influence the action of shareholders.
Excellent essay. -
Great article Kevin, and couldn’t agree with you more. At first I thought it a bit strange that this press release was issued in the first place considering that the IUP was imminent. In fact I was even mildly angered that they did this. The way I viewed it, they had allowed a window of opportunity for those wishing to manipulate the sp during the period leading up to the IUP being issued.
But you’re right, it was aimed at us longs that have held on for so long now and I appreciate their concern. No other company that I’m invested with would be so gracious.
Keep up the good work. I for one appreciate all the hard work you put in on our investment.
P.S.: I’m intrigued by one of the paragraphs regarding what happens post SA? -
Had a read and in full agreement with your analysis.
-
…the piece was well written, informative and useful. You are a gifted writer. The piece merits a wider audience…
-
Brilliant! Beautifully written. Couldn't agree more. Well done my friend.
-
A well written piece which is very raw in nature and comes from the heart. I hope other people understand this.
On Winners and Losers
-
Kevin, It is 5:30 AM in Geneva and I have just started my day by reading your wonderful piece. I am inspired by it. Thank you for providing such a thoughtful commentary putting the current conditions in a wider context, society. And a narrower context, of my responsibilities to the education I am providing to my children. Not to mention my responsibilities in business… Now, I am off in search of an Int. Herald Tribune accompanied by a good croissant and coffee. But thanks for providing the best read of the day.
-
I think this is your best effort that I have read here… Keep up the good work old son.
-
Fascinating! Not only does your article leave me pondering the state of our education system and overall social dynamic, it also makes me feel a lot better about being a "jack of all trades." Thanks for sharing it.
-
Glad to know that you have not been slapped, at least literally, since kindergarten....
-
Nicely done article Kevin. Very well written. It does stray from the reservation a bunch…
-
Thank you for stating the truth and saying like it is and I hope that you are not discouraged , because there are many folks that I know who believe in a gentle revolution that is going to bring about a change that will last.
On The Indonesia Factor
-
Nice piece Kevin. Thanks for your efforts in researching it!
-
Wow, now that's a comprehensive overview of "the Indonesia factor." Great history. I read every word.
-
Excellent! I am going to forward this to a few associates who have invested in SA but do not follow the story closely, so they will have a clear picture as to what is going on. Well done. Thanks.
-
Great reporting and writing Kevin. Keep up your good work. I appreciate all your efforts and kind generosity to share your knowledge and observations.
On Fire in the Hole
- Kevin, I think it is great idea to revamp the whole system , the time is right for a network of companies and investors to join together and setup their own transparent exchange, just need a secure server, a board of directors that is composed of half company half investor and some technicians (and our own army with an intelligence team to protect us from "the establishment") and we’re off! Yes I know I'm dreaming again but I would support such an effort with some capital and expertise in setting things up. Keep stirring the pot with good articles.

I just wanted you to know the information you are putting on your site is outstanding. I come to your site every day just to make sure I don't miss anything new coming from you. Thanks again.
-
I have a ridiculous amount of free tools to play with. To get any true value out of these I have to spend a silly amount of time bouncing around from company websites, past news releases, Sedar etc. It becomes a second job. Too hard to live outside of this and regular work. The idea for this site could be better than great for investors. It has potential to become a favoured tool in my honest opinion.
-
Well done and complete. Keep up the good work.
-
Kevin, I have just visited your website. I see nothing but success for this creation of yours. Your mastery of the English language, that is to say, vocabulary and grammar is outstanding. I am sure that you will agree that these are areas that can be learned and in which there are many who are your equal. What separates you from the crowd is that you do not try to impress with ten dollar words. Each word, each phrase has a purpose and the reader is left with a clear and unobstructed picture of what you are portraying. You inject humour and often introduce some personal and family information bringing you closer to the reader. These elements make you a very easy and comfortable read. I am neither a geologist nor am I omniscient of the wonderful world of investing. I would presume that the majority of investors are as myself.......eager but unlearned. Due diligence sounds great but when you are at the ABC's stage of investing, just what does it mean and what does it entail? This is just one question asked by many in the beginning. Your way of explaining issues using an analogy or should I say parable make things easier to learn. To me, vocabulary and grammar mean nothing if the subject wasn't communicated successfully. This is where I feel your strength lies......communication. Your cool, even-tempered manner along with your quiet confidence and unassuming manner has amassed for you a sizeable following. If word of mouth is indeed the best form of advertising then I think that your website is going to have more hits than Barry Bonds on a double dose of steroids. Due to you I am learning more quickly about due diligence and the intangibles. I will not presume to make any suggestions to you for improvement......not at this point anyway. As Mozart would say......"How can one improve on something that's already perfect? It's the best report yet written." LOL
-
I enjoy visiting your very informative website!
-
Hello Kevin. Thank you so much for being a calm voice in a sea of chaos. Keep well my friend because you are a treasure. God's abundant blessings to you and yours. With much respect and gratitude.
-
Enjoy your web site... Thanks for all your DD.
-
What a great resource you have supplied here Kevin.
-
First of all let me commend you on a nice clean interface to your website. While I have only begun to explore its contents you appear to have included some very interesting content/tools for novice investors (perhaps that should read gamblers) of the junior mining fraternity.
-
I can never thank you enough for the work you and others do and for the information that is shared with all. I would like to visit with you more and get to know you better but will close for now. Thanks again.
-
Pebble in a pond was excellent. Well done. Cheers!
-
Thank you for sharing your work.
-
Hi, Kevin. I just wanted to thank you for honest and intellectual posts. It’s because of your commitment, and belief in SA that I initiated my dd. I’ve only purchased 20000 shares to date but hope to accumulate a lot more in the very near future. Thank you again for your tremendous commitment…
-
Hi Kevin,
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your site. I’ve been busy plugging the latest figures into your calculator and it’s great to get an idea as to how good each hole is... Thank you. Keep up the great work! -
Thanks again Kevin, I can't tell you how much I am learning from you. I hope you continue to enjoy what you are doing with this site.
-
Excellent site! Good job Kevin!
-
Great site and tools!
-
Very interesting reading... Thx
-
I really enjoy reading your reports. Kevin I look forward to your future reports and information. Thanks.
-
Interesting article. I own RES but never had the chance to evaluate the way you did it.
-
I appreciate the article on RES.V. I was at one time President of a company that spent a lot of time exploring in Wyoming (never in the North East) and never found a nugget. You say you are not a geologist, but you sound as if you know a lot about rocks. I trade PM stocks and I am going to add RES.V to my longer term list. Thanks for your site. Good luck.
-
You have the beginnings of a rather helpful site for junior explorer stocks.
-
Well done Kevin ! It is a good site for some credible facts and information. Congratulations.
-
Thank you.
-
I really enjoyed how you embedded the videos in your Pediment article. I wish more of the newsletter writers would use that technique, it really adds a great deal. All the best to you.
-
This is really great.
-
Hey Kevin: I just read a few of your blurbs and the one re the newsletter writers and people not willing to do their own "thinking". I LOVED this piece. You are a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work.
-
Your analytics website is great, wish you good luck and success!
- Best of luck! You're off to a great start, that's for sure. I have a suggestion for an article for your site, something along the lines of "What Really Goes on in the Lab." I for one would be interested in learning about the lab assay process, in detail. What are they looking for? How do they look for those things? What sort of checks and balances are in place to protect against fraud in the assay process? How about some pictures of a working lab? An interview with a lab tech?
On Surveying Mining Companies Online in Support of Due Diligence
-
Think of what the research dept’s at brokerage houses would pay for that?!
-
Great job on the revolution……
-
If you can make this work, it will blow the market away.
-
Now I see what you're up to--very impressive. That's a fantastic idea; when it picks up steam it will push most of the shysters and shell companies to the sidelines, if not out of the game altogether. Go for it!
-
… a really good idea.
-
I think you have developed a novel idea and look forward to reading your posts and comments on potential juniors. I find your views very unbiased and you add intelligent comments that get us all on track and thinking along the same line (making money) as well as securing confidence in our investments via intelligence gathering. I appreciate your hard work in DD – look forward to the surveys.
-
Concept is brilliant! People will pay.
-
It will be worth a fortune… This is awesome… very cool.
-
Excellent job, I can see your expertise shining through…
-
Excellent work Kevin! I read through the Rare Element report and it looks great. I agree this has the potential to revolutionize how we invest in the Venture. Today it is an overwhelming task simply to identify juniors that warrant research. If all the juniors were summarized in the same simple format that you have for Rare Element…WOW!
-
Yeah great idea!
I've never heard of this idea before but it sounds interesting. I watch a heap of Canadian stocks; would you consider sending down here? Lihir gold would be a good one to compare or even BHP might reply to you??? Things in the Down under are great! Just as unpredictable as the rest of the world! But some great buying opportunities out there. -
Hello Kevin, Great idea for the online survey!
-
This would be powerful. I would pay.
-
Your site is first rate. Writing is clear concise and powerful. Good Work! Please send your survey to Highbank Resources Ltd. Howe street Vancouver. 75,000,000 tons of prime gravel. See if they have enough guts (or sense) to complete it.
-
Kevin, Sounds like you have your head screwed on straight about this. It will be interesting to see how the information comes together. I'd love you to be successful beyond your wildest dreams since that will demonstrate it is possible to have an investor service that does not rely in some part on company sponsorship. Please keep me informed of your progress.
- Thanks for the report on Animas.
On plans for Insider Trading Summary Reports
-
Thanks so very much for creating this website. I fully appreciate your efforts to keep others informed of the market. Your work on the insider trading will be a great help to me. I'm a layman and I've looked at the SEDI site in the past but was unable to fully glean the pure essence of their stats. I look forward to your work to simplify things and serve up just the meat and potatoes of their site.
-
Kevin, you are my hero, you are the best. Your web site makes a very difficult and risky task investing in the junior resource sector a lot easier.
-
Great idea Kevin and quite generous on your part.
-
Good Idea--SEDI is a bit of a nightmare to read and fully understand and you will have synthesised the information.
-
Sounds great.. can't wait.
-
Well done! Makes perfect sense to me. This will save me a lot of time and effort, so that I can spend more time with my leisure activities!
-
Kevin, I think it's a real good idea and I for one would be interested in the results.
-
GOOD IDEA! I agree that SEDI can be cumbersome to view at times - especially when insider trades add up! I have visited canadianinsider.com as well - but they only provide recent filings. It would be great to get an overall picture / snapshot of exactly what you have described! Hope it works out well.
-
Excellent, I look forward to seeing the reports!
-
Great idea Kevin, thanks for all your effort and hard work.
-
I think it is a great idea. I agree with you when you say SEDI can be cumbersome and time consuming.
-
More than a good idea. Excellent! SEDI information may be valuable but the usability of SEDI makes that information unattainable to many investors.
