| Oroco Resource Corp., was listed on the TSX.V (OCO)following its
IPO and started trading on March 18 of this year. Oroco commenced exploration immediately following the IPO. Phase 1 exploration includes 6,000 metres of diamond drilling from surface which commenced on April 21. All holes drilled to date have hit the targeted zone and mineralized intersections range from 12 metres to >50 metres true thickness. The goal of the Phase 1 program is to confirm the historical results of Morgain Minerals who in 1999 calculated a 8.5 million ton polymetallic resource grading 4.4 Au g/t Eq. based on a 23 hole reverse circulation drill program confined to the area of historical workings within just 725 metres of strike length and to no greater depth than 300 metres from surface. Oroco controls a total of 6.5 km of strike length of the structure hosting the historical mine and resource. Phase two will test along strike and to depth where mineralization is open. The near vertical shear zone hosting the mineralization has been mapped on surface for several km north and south of the historical workings. Oroco's exploration program is being overseen by company director and former Teck-Cominco Exploration president Ken Thorsen. |
